PROLOGUE: start from the dark ----The ink on his contract has yet to dry fully and Kai Stevens is nonetheless in the highest of spirits. This is not an assumption but a rather blatant observation considering the swagger with which the Envoy of the End struts through the halls of Divine Wrestling's headquarters. He sports a black suit, his blazer and shirt alike a pitch black. His tie is a steel blue, and his tie clip is gunmetal gray. However, the most salient portion of his attire is the shit-eating grin that grips his bearded visage with no intention of releasing. ----That is-- until he finds himself standing before an elevator, waiting to be brought down to meet his Uber. His head is bowed, his focus glued to his iPhone's screen, where messages from his girlfriend, Athena, sat unanswered. For a man as gifted with words as Stevens, his inability to reach a conclusive response to her messages leaves him frustrated. When he feels another person step up and stand beside him in similar wait for the elevator, he half-heartedly flicks his eyes up but can't capture much of their face. ----“You work here?” he asks. “Or am I barkin' up the wrong tree?”

The shadow cast resolutely beside Kai Stevens was hard to see at first as Stevens tilted his eyes to the side vigilantly with his signature grin and grip on the emotive appeal on his face that he held so well.
“You work here?”
…Was the query that self-assuredly spilled from Kai Stevens’ smirking lips. The impressively and powerfully built Michael Rissi stood aside from Stevens; both men in postponement due to the elevator still yet to arrive.
“Yeah… I work here.” Michael Rissi laughed.
Rissi was outfitted in a stylish black lightly stripped t-shirt and affluent looking dress pants as he held his vast and prevailing arms out with a bold beam on his face.
“Do I not look like a wrestler? Do I look like the cleaner or something?” Rissi joked.

PROLOGUE: start from the dark ----With a response of only a humorless and imperious snicker, Kai Stevens seems to have no patience for the discourse this man offers him. Narrowing his eyes, the Envoy of the End flicks his focus over to Rissi and furrows his brow. With a pivot of his inside foot, he squares his shoulders towards the other man and speaks with a venom that has come to be known as a hallmark of Kai's personality by now. ----“Nah, man,” he spits. “You don't look much like either of those things to me, bud. If you really do work here, you're gonna' learn real quick that if you're in this company, you don't look like a wrestler to me. You don't look like a coworker or competition... You look like a victim. Only matters in question are the where and the when. The why is because I fucking can, yeah, sure... But it's mostly because I need to. And trust me, guy... You don't wanna' learn why I need to, because if you do it'll be the last thing you ever learn.”

Rissi finished a low bellowing drawn-out yawn, looking rather wearied with a razzing tease of a smile on his face accompanied by dreary eyes. He wasn’t amused or concerned and shook his head, taking the opposite stance of what Kai was projecting at the moment. Rissi was unperturbed with a somewhat relaxed and tranquil look on his face.
“Yeah, yeah, I’ve heard it all before… Many times before. Damn, you take yourself a little too serious and grim don’t you? Why don’t you try and crack a smile or loosen up or something? Jeez…”
Rissi stands there for a moment then looks around in the second of obdurate and perceived stroppy silence that would follow. Still with a haughty grin under his tired appearance, Rissi turns back with an uninterested head tilt and speaks with a bleak tone of voice.
“I might take the stairs… It’s going to be really negative and probably really boring getting into that elevator with you now…”
Rissi lets out a snicker under his truncated countenance on his face as he puts his arms behind his head and lets out a sigh.
