BLAISE & ZOE MCDRAVEN VS. CLAUDE VIGOR & RORY HAZLOW
It was safe to say that the year started off on a bad note for many in Divine. Blaise was unfortunately among those. It was just after the big paperview and her highly anticipated match with Zoe McDraven. Blaise was seen limping her way through the backstage area, covered with marks that displayed the rough night she went through. The champion was bandaged up, looking as if all life had been drained of her. Despite these conditions, this never stopped Blaise from doing something she loved to do this most: run her mouth. When really she should be conserving all her energy in healing and getting back to a proper physical state. However, her mind always got the best of her. Blaise wore a scowl on her face as she continued on with her stubbornness and refusal of help. This of course just made things more difficult for herself, but she didn't care. She was on her way out of the building, but before leaving she stopped for the cameras.
"I swear if anyone has the audacity to ask me what my thoughts are after this match... I'm going to tear their fucking head off. How do you think I feel? It's pretty obvious. I am disappointed with my failure to close the match, although nonetheless proud of the show that Zoe and I put on. The show could have ended with two strong women trying to pick up the pieces of themselves after they fought with everything they had, but someone just had to take a great moment and make it about their sorry ass... YES, you... Rory!"
She spits his name as if it were a bad word. As she gets all worked up, she begins to feel the pain shooting their her body. She winces as she speaks, but tries her best to ignore it. Rory unfortunately was able to do a big number on Blaise.
"Mark my words, Rory Hazlow! You're a dead man walking. You're a coward! A loser! The next time I'm going to see you I'm going to take your bald ass head and shove it under my pretty little boot. You made a serious mistake out there, buster! Do you think anyone was genuinely impressed with your actions tonight? Do you think it made you look strong? Made you look like a suitable challenger for the title? Give me a break. Two women gave everything they had to fight for the championship, leaving many things unresolved and leaving many unsatisfied. While I am still champion, I think we all know that this isn't the end of my little dance with Zoe. I am obviously not okay with how we left things. I want to BEAT Zoe. I want her to know that as the years pass by and no matter how hard she tries, I'll always be better than her. Zoe by all means, despite what she says, she knows it too. She knows it deep down inside and like for many people, it kills her. She knows, but no I want to show her it. She's always play second fiddle. The sort of individual that is GOOD but not good enough, not great like me. Don't get me wrong though because I can give credit when credit is due. As much as I went on about who the hell did she think she was just waltzing into this company and immediately being given a shot... as much as I went on about that, we both came into this match and tore into each other. So good on that, Zoe. She did something you could never dream of doing... Zoe gave me a run for my money, I won't lie and I bet that drove you crazy, didn't it? So you came out in hopes of making yourself feel better. Do you think ANYONE forget how I beat you fair, ONE ONE ONE, in competition already? I didn't just beat you once in one night, I beat you twice! Yet still here you are coming back for more. Don't you get it? Are you really stupid, Rory? Do you just like punishment that bad? Do you like the punishment by my hands that bad that you have come back begging for more? Bet it turns you on, you sick fuck! But let's get one thing straight, you didn't lose because you were having a bad night, you lost because it is a match out of your league. Dammit, Rory! I really tried to be nice to you. I extended my hand out to you even! I looked past your oogling eyes, the crazed look you always have.. I looked past it all and I wanted to help. I don't know, maybe I saw something at one point? I could have helped you with your struggles and there is no doubt that there would be a lot that you could have learned from me. However, instead of accepting my help... this is what you do? Unbelievable."
She shakes her head, as she glares into the camera.
"You've been a naughty boy, Rory, and it seems like I'm just going to finish what I already started. This time around I won't be so nice. This time around consider that hand that I extended to you gone. You beat me when I was already down and for that obviously all respect is gone. You really showed the kind of person, the kind of scum you are."
With these final words, Blaise turns and makes her exit out of the arena.
It was important to relax and to have time to yourself. Especially after a night when you competed in match where your intention was to throw your opponent off the stage in a sleigh. Needless to say, the pro-wrestling world was a strange one that was difficult to explain to those outside of it. After unsuccessfully competing in the match, Blaise found herself relaxing in an ice tube. She had her head laid back and her eyes closed. Her face was coated with a mask that promised to relieve all signs of tiredness. She had a busy schedule, despite Divine having a less demanding schedule compared to most companies. Wrestling was simply one thing she took on, although it the most important. As she relaxed, she tried to scratch her brain for the last time she was able to have a moment like this. It was so nice to just be alone, especially after spending nearly a year or so taking care of her niece who would often burst into the bathroom uninvited and without any warning. Now she was alone to do whatever she wanted. Obviously it too good to be true though. Minutes in her, her phone went on to which she responding with a groan. Her eyes shot open as she reached over to answer it as she put it on speaker. It was her agent, merely just doing what she was paid to do, but Blaise responded in a way that completely did not hide her annoyance.
"Yes?"
Of course there were no greetings, no formalities. Just straight to the point. The woman spoke for a minute and when she was done, Blaise took a moment to think about her response.
"What do you mean? I swear I just competed the other week."
She responded to the news of her upcoming match that she had no knowledge about. She adjusted herself to a seated position and now took a hold of her phone. She looked into her calendar and saw exactly what her agent was talking about. She was right. Blaise was scheduled to compete in days time. She looked further into it and her annoyance, as usual, grew as she dug deeper.
"A tag match? You have got to be kidding me. Do these people not know who I am? I just feel like I am being set up to fail right now and I'm not okay with that! Nothing was run by me... the champ, can you believe that?"
Blaise groaned, unable to relax. There was no other stipulation of a match that she hated most than a tag match. She hated relying on others, having to place nice- IT JUST SIMPLY WAS NOT IN HER NATURE. She had tried in the past, but it never lasted so she just stopped bothering for the most part. It was just simply doomed from the start. She succeeded as a singes competitor, but hated having to worry about others actions influencing what happened to her. Thankfully her partner was her opponent the last time she saw her, Zoe McDraven, and the two were pretty familiar with each other. They knew what to expect. It wasn't their first time fighting on the same side. But there was just something difficult having to cooperate with someone that there was still so much fresh heat against.
"I guess for one night it calls for Zoe and I to put our differences aside."
The scene opens with Blaise dressed in her ring gear in the backstage area. After having a couple weeks off, she seems to be a bit better condition as well as in a better mood.
"The are some obvious concerns walking into this match. Issues of trust is one that I can immediately think of on both sides. I bet Zoe is a tad afraid that I'll tag her in and then just sort of disappear and allow her to be fed to the wolves, but those are not my intentions. I mean, it would soften you up, but I think it's important to give both of our all when it comes to this match to prove a much needed point. And I know you're thinking, Blaise, if you want to show Zoe that you're better than her then wouldn't you want to beat her at her best? I mean, that makes sense and all, but at the end of the day all I am concerned with is keeping my hands on this title. My reputation can come second to that, because some things are just more important. I know many of you might not get that, but then again many of you have not been champion as much as I have been."
She shoots a toothy grin. Blaise unstraps her title from her waist, showing it off to of course rub it in a bit in her opponents face. While she should probably be humble being a grown ass adult and all and being that she did get her ass beat a couple weeks ago. But she chose to ignore that. She addressed it once, and that was that she figured.
"Am I concerned walking into this match? While Zoe and I are set up to compete against two large men. From an outside perspective everyone would probably put their money on the side of Claude Vigor and Rory Hazlow, but unfortunately these men are fools once they step into the ring. They can run their mouths, go to the gym and get these large biceps- but they don't know how to use them. They don't know how to capitalize on their weight in an effective way. As we all know nowadays weight and size means very little in this business nowadays. It takes a lot more and that's something these fools I guess are going to have to learn the hard way. Now I have unfortunately already made myself familiar with Rory Hazlow. Since Day One, he has been a thorn in my side. SINCE DAY ONE, he has been delusional as he claims I am unworthy of the title yet I have defeated him? If I am not worthy, then what does that make you, Rory? Where is your logic, sweetie? On top of that, he claims the title is his. In fact, he made himself pretty cozy with my title after he ASSAULTED me after my match with Zoe. As you can imagine, it cost me a lot of money to disinfect the title after it came into contact with his grubby, dirty hands. While money is not an issue, my time is and as for my time, Rory... I'm sick of you wasting it. You want to talk about worthiness when you're the furthest thing from being worthy of a shot. I can think of a handful of individuals that come before you. You would be better off trying your shot at another title, at one that you actually stand a chance at but instead you're after mine. I guess you feel like you have something to prove. I guess you feel embarrassed after what I did with you that one time and I don't blame you. You probably want to redeem yourself, but no matter how hard you desire something.. it simply does not matter.
Then we have Claude Vigor. He's a bitter guy and I would be bitter with a name like Claude too, so I guess you can't blame the guy. Claude has been crying a lot about not getting the recognition he feels like he deserves. There is a lot of tough and talented competition here in Divine, so you've got to do a bit to stand out and have either of these men achieved this? No, of course not.. They haven't exactly created the best track record for themselves. Let's just face the facts, guys! I can't name one impressive thing either of you have done, except maybe you Rory... you kind of impressively looked really pitiful when I beat you to a pulp that one time. It made me a feel a little bad and that's an accomplishment right there! So bravo, I suppose.
Now I'm not going to go on further with telling you things you already know. Everyone already knows that Zoe and I are going to go out there and outperform you two. We have history and I guess you can say we kind of get each other. When I'm going for something, Zoe probably already has an idea of what I have in mind without me having to communicate it. So we'll go into that match and sort of like our match at Seasons Bleedings, we'll feed off each other but this time around fighting for the same cause. And then when we're done, we'll move onto more important things. We'll move onto resolving our unfinished business. Once and for all. One more chance, Zoe."
The scene fades to darkness with her final words.
