Pretty Little Fliers are - no pun intended - off to an absolute flier. Jessica Anderson and Sophia Alva have only had two matches as a team, but despite that they've managed to pick up two solid victories. Sure, one of them they also had Joanna Rissi by their side. But it was a solid victory regardless, and one which gives them a solid foundation from which they can build upon. They were just getting started, and as far as they were concerned the sky was the limit.
The scene faded into an empty bar, where Jessica Anderson was seated. She was wearing one of the dresses from her Spring 2019 collection. At the counter in front of her was a glass of water. She took a sizable gulp before smiling at the camera and blowing a kiss.
"It's Saturday Night Saga time again, and I couldn't be much more excited. I only wish that it could come round more frequently. But alas, if I have to wait three weeks to perform in front of the wonderful fans in Divine Wrestling then I'm more than happy to wait three weeks. I truly have the best job in the world. I get to step into the ring, which I love doing, in two different promotions with two different partners, both of whom are everything I could ever ask for!"
Jessica grins. She takes a lot of pride in her work, and her time in Divine is no exception.
"Here in Divine, as you all know I'm sure, I team up with Sophia Alva. And if I'm honest, when I look at her I see a young woman who I wish I could have been like at her age. She has her head screwed on and has so much potential it's terrifying. Trust me, while I may be the more well-known member of this team right now that won't be the case forever. Sophia has a ceiling far higher than mine, and I hope to damn that she reaches her full potential because we're going to be looking at something really special if she does. Something that I could only dream of being!
Jessica gulps. She's not lying. Jessica has sparred with Sophia several times, so she knows first-hand just how talented she is.
"Trust me, I'd love to talk about Sophia Alva all day. She's one of the best I've ever shared the ring with, and if you ask Joanna Rissi I'm sure that she will tell you the exact same thing. But unfortunately, I'm told that I need to limit this thing and that I can't ramble on forever. So I think that since I can't tell you how good Sophia is, I'll have to recommend that you watch her closely and find out for yourself. And your first chance to do that may as well be tonight at Saga as the Pretty Little Fliers team up once more to take on The Shieldmaidens!"
It was a cheap plug. Of course Jessica knew that. But if there was somebody viewing this promo, they more than likely intended on tuning into Saga also so it was mostly a bit of fun.
"Now, I could pretend that I know everything there is to know about The Shieldmaidens. But the truth is, I don't. I have never crossed paths with them. This is the first time I've ever worked in the same company as them, so it can't come as much surprise to hear that I actually know very little about them. I don't know how much Sophia knows, you'd have to ask her that one yourself. And I have to admit, since we're on the subject, that I also have not had time to carry out a sufficient amount of research on them. I'm a very busy woman, what with two careers. However, you don't need to know the ins-and-outs of an opponent in order to be successful."
Jess pauses, raising her index finger to raise more emphasis to her point. She takes another sip of water before she continues.
"I know as much about them as I do everyone else singed to Divine Wrestling, and clearly that amount of information has been enough to get by so far. In fact, I'd say the key to success is assuming that every match you go into will be the toughest of your career. Sophia and I up our training levels every single week, as the level of competition goes up and up and up. The longer you go unbeaten, the more of a target you paint on your back. Fortunately our winning run is only in its infancy, but everyone in Divine wants to win. Even if there's nothing at stake. And sure, right now there is not a set of Tag Team Champions. But one day, if titles are established, Sophia and I would very much like to establish ourselves at the team to beat. But to that, I'm sure every single team would tell us to get to the back of the line. I wouldn't expect for anything less, and I'd honestly be disappointed if they did say anything less. I want the best competition going!"
"But as far as getting to the back of the line goes? Honey, we are the line. We are THE team that everyone is looking at at the moment, and not without a good reason. We've been winning, yes. But more importantly, we've been winning well. So far we've yet to put a foot wrong and haven't showed much signs of weakness, so EVERYONE is tuning in to see us for one reason or another. Maybe it's to see our fast-paced high-intensity style, or perhaps it's to see if we do have any weaknesses. Maybe it's to do with our looks, which is fine. There's nothing I can do to help that. Regardless, though. Whatever reason you're tuning into watch Pretty Little Fliers kick butt together in the ring, I greatly appreciate you. I promise that we'll do everything we can to overcome The Shieldmaidens, but understand that it will be as far from a walk in the park as you can get. We know that we have our work cut out for us. Let's hope we can claim another victory!"
Jessica blows another kiss and waves, as the camera fades to black.
