It was just towards the end of the night, the night of the pay per view, and Zoe was slowly walking out of the arena through the back entrance, duffel bag over her shoulder and a pained angry look on her face. That match had been hell in more ways than one, considering who she had to face off against. The trailer had dragged her backstage afterwards just to poke and prod at her, making sure she wasn't suffering from a concussion or other injuries that required a hospital visit.
“Christ I'm fine. Just really sore and pissed off.”
“ I know Zoe, but this is protocol after this kind of a match. You two put each other through a lot, and I just want to be sure a hospital visit isn't next on your list. This won't take long. “
“Goody...I'm gonna be seeing glitter everywhere for weeks now. That and picking out pine stuff out of everything.”
“You'll live.”
Luckily she'd passed with flying colors and the doc let her escape into the night, albeit sore. No one had stopped her on her way out thankfully. She reached her car and opened the front door, throwing her duffel bag inside and following shortly behind it. With a sigh, she turned the key and prepared to pull out of this joint finally when her phone went off, jingling in the Mario 1 up tune. She picked it up and saw the text message from the chairman's little messenger, concerning the next show. Her eyes widened as she scrolled down and saw her name, what kind of match, and who they were facing. But it was that name that colored Zoe's vision red.
“Shit. I can't catch a break. At this point Blaise and I need to get a sitcom or something.”

“Some times people don't know when to keep their noses out of business that isn't theirs. I really hate that. Let people have their own moment, let them have their own. Honestly… “
Zoe shook her head, disgust showing on her face.
“People on the outside are looking in on this match and thinking this is going to be just a one sided fight because of the size of our competitors. This is a good point, but never once did I look at the size of someone I was going to fight and suddenly turn the other way to run off. Rory and his little tag partner Claude are so confident that they have every advantage in this situation. I might be inclined to think so too but I have to look at it from the situation of winning alongside a tag partner that I have no love for. “
She shakes her head, smirking.
“I don't care much for her and she feels the same way but for the sake of this we're gonna try and coexist as much as possible. Rory and Claude are probably banking on one of us abandoning the other or some similar situation like that so they can pick up that easy win. Yeah right. Ain't nothing getting handed to you two clowns. If you want something you gotta work for it. “
“Like Rory here has to work on keeping his nose out of business that isn't his to begin with. If you wanted a shot at Blaise so bad, be a man and step up face to face with her. That's what I did. I made my intentions known, I let her know what I wanted. You just came in like an angry child and blindsided both of us all because you weren't given a damn title shot first. Boo hoo. Go impress the chairman or get in the back of the line and wait your turn. Or how about you come fight us face to face and we'll see if you can even stand in the ring all alone with a champion. “
She picks a piece of lint out of her shirt and tossed it aside.
“Claude here isn't any better. Wants something, mad he doesn't have it. That's all I hear, so yea...pretty annoying. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it. I mean if ya really want i can teach you a lesson out there in that ring since you're so gung ho about throwing your fists around. Patience is a virtue here really and you seem to have none of it. “
Zoe tilts her head, glaring off to the side.
“You two need to back up, and take a second look at this situation a little closer honestly. Your size, your threats mean nothing. Do what you have to to get in the hunt but at some point you'll have to ask yourself is it even worth it at all. Is going after us going to really make that big of an impression so you get that title shot or is it all gonna blow up in your face.
Cause once this is marked off in the W collum, Blaise and I have some unfinished business to handle.
One more time huh…
We'll see. “
